Health Governance Structure

North Sound YFC is the regional Family, Youth, System Partner Round Table (FYSPRT) for the North Sound area (Snohomish, Skagit, Whatcom, Island, and San Juan counties). FYSPRTs inform and provide oversight for high-level policy-making, program planning, and decision-making in the child and youth behavioral/mental health system in Washington state.

Whatcom Child and Family Well-Being Task Force

Would you like to serve Whatcom children and their families as a member of the Whatcom Child and Family Well-Being Task Force? This role will include meetings twice a month with other Task Force members. The goal of the task force is to identify ways that the Whatcom County government can better meet the needs of young children and families, with particular attention to low income and BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, and People of Color) families. The below PDF document contains more information, including some tips and advice as to how to complete the application.

This impacts all of us on an individual level and I appreciate the opportunity to have my voice among the conversations happening in Washington state.”

- Nina Weaver

“As a community member of Skagit County, I am moved by the ideas and conversations that are generated within the Coalition. It is wonderful to see the commitment to improving the well-being of families and youth from so many people in our region.”
